This year the show is taking us to some beautiful cities, some of my favorite in the the country. Here is the list that takes us into 2013- Salt Lake City, Vegas, Seattle and…DRUMROLL… HONOLULU! But first, we have to struggle through San Diego, I know life is hard! Seriously, I don’t think there is anywhere in the US with weather so perfect! Last Monday was our day off and we had many choices on how to spend it Disneyland, Sea World, Legoland..but what we needed most was to sleep in-then decide from there. This is what we ended up doing…
A ferry ride to the Island Coronado, just a few miles off the shore of downtown San Diego. It was cheap (only $4.25 one way) and a great way to enjoy the waterfront.
That’s Me, Jetson, Mace, Super Nanny, Mitch and our Maestro and very good friend Jason Yarcho! (Off the point for a second, Jason Yarcho is Mace’s first best friend, he loves him! Because of Jason’s musical influence, even at this young age, Mace is already a musician! He looooves music, he dances whenever he hears it and raises his arm and conducts, just like his friend Jason. It is so darn cute to watch them play the piano together..here is a shot I snapped with my cell phone on a day Mace came to visit us at work)
Back to Coronado
We had no time commitments and a whatever happens kind of attitude, which is my favorite kind of Day! The only thing we really needed was a dog friendly beach, which was a 2 mile walk from the ferry. Not a bad stroll, it was nice to enjoy all of the lovely beach houses along the way.
Once we got to the beach there was no stopping Mace from getting sandy, wet and dirty! The water was freezing but Mace went for it, every time we tried to walk him back to the blanket, he would turn around and head back to the ocean. He clearly shares the love of the ocean with his Mommy, Daddy and Doggie!

After the beach we made our way to the first restaurant we could find, luckily it was amazing! Here is the link if you ever find your way to the Island, Leroy’s Kitchen and Lounge mmmmmm- Yummy!
While we were sitting out on the patio, Mace kept saying Boo Boo Boo, which is his sound for a cow, quickly Super Nanny pointed to a life size cow outside of the ice cream parlor next door, Moo Creamery (it also deserves a mmmmm- Yummy!) When I took Mace over to the huge plastic cow, he got very shy and would only say BooBooBoo as we walked away.
As the sunset, we dragged ourselves back the 2 miles to the Ferry dock, tired, full and Happy!
O.. but before I sign off this post, I must share just one more picture, it’s too goofy not too!
Bye Bye for now from Sunny San Diego!
